"When students are learning with technology, they are not just learning how to use the 'tool' -
they are learning how to approach a project, collaborate with peers, recognize their audience,
create a purpose and deliver a message."
Welcome to my K-8 Technology in Education resources. As a classroom teacher and now Technology Facilitator, I bring a wealth of experience, resources, and support to anyone interested in integrating technology into the classroom curriculum. I believe in utilizing technology in the classroom for the right reasons. Technology should make what we are doing in the classroom even more efficient or better than it could be done without it! There are basic and advanced uses of technology that can make lessons better....my goal is to share these with you!
Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have about technology in education.

Tracy's Rules of the Road for Technology in the Classroom...
* Use technology (be a model and use technology when you can)
* Be willing and open to learning new things
* Find your resource people
* Promote student responsibility
* Focus on cooperative, project based and interdisciplinary work in which technology is one
of the many tools that students use
*Let your student's do the teaching...
*Technology is not an add-on, but a part of the regular day.
*Be an active leader-advocate for technology in education; read about it, research it, and insist on implementing it.
*Even though our kids may say they "want" technology (see video below), there must be ed leaders who "want" it as well and know how it best fits into today's classroom.
